This video introduces educators to the Blowgun Physics SPiN lesson. We address how to use the lesson plan, set up the interactive presentation (or set up student devices), and how to plan for the activity. In this lesson, students unpack the definition of technology and examine how technology has helped develop human civilization throughout history. Students are introduced to Newton’s Laws of Motion to understand how the blowgun, a Cherokee hunting technology, works and can be innovated for specific uses. Students finish out this lesson with research or experiment-based assignments to delve deeper into analysis of this technology.
