This video introduces educators to the Trek Through Time SPiN lesson. We address some background information for the lesson, how to use the lesson plan, and how to set up the activity. In this lesson, students will spatially represent modern to ancient time by building a timeline rope of events using era and event hang-tag cards, focused on history with a Cherokee perspective. Students will interpret facts of Cherokee culture and American history as it relates to the Great Smoky Mountains region.
