Lessons Around the Fire (LAF) is the Museum of the Cherokee People’s initiative to inspire and promote learning focused on Cherokee People and History. LAF strives to be a resource for first voice Cherokee curriculum material that aids educators and centers the Cherokee perspective. LAF aims to design standards-compliant, interactive teaching resources for every educator and grade level.

This color palette was inspired by the beautiful land that Cherokee people have called home since time immemorial. From seasonal changes to breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, we have seen the beauty in this land for generations.
